Have a 150 gal gas tank above ground in a containment pit, walls 3 feet high.
To ground the tank I should drive a rod outside of pit? Then what method is used to attach ground to tank and route to the rod? One end of tank is less than a foot from the wall. Pit is about 10 ft sqr.
Looked around code, searched internet. I am surprised not to get ideas.
Any thoughts?

What is your purpose for wanting to ground it? Most will need that to give a useful answer.

Is there electric equipment, that needs a bonding conductor?

Lightning? look at NFPA 780.

Storage tank? NFPA 30 (maybe)

static? API RP 2003

The tank is storing fuel for vehicles. Not sure if it is hand pump or electric, but I will check.
Static is the issue while transferring fuel.

Thanks for the direction.
