Hello,

The building we are doing has 130’ continuous cabofil cable tray on each floor for the network communication CAT6A cabling. No power conductors are ran in nor tied to this cable tray. Is this required to be connected to the grounding system? Code references?

Also, has anyone ever had to bond each emt conduit stub for the data outlets??? There’s hundreds!!

As far as I know there’s no need for no bonding and grounding on any of it as long as it’s just CAT6. Though in many data rooms with cable trey I have seen it tied into grounding system. I’d say it’s more of a job spec rather than anything.
