grounding and bonding

I'm installing a hot tub assembly,it has a 6 inch piece of copper water pipe from the house to the hot tub PVC water connection.Do I need to bond this piece of copper pipe to the tub unit?

If its more than 5 feet from tub i think your ok.I am assuming this is a fill line from house

680.43(D) agrees with you, jimwalker:
The following parts shall be bonded together:
1) All metal fittings within or attached to the hot tub
2) Metal parts of electrical equipment associated with the hot tub water circulating system
3) Metal conduit and metal piping within 5 feet or separated by a permanent barrier
4) All metal surfaces within 5 feet of the hot tub or separated by a parmanent barrier
