Sewer Plant wiring
I am powering two remote locations from branch circuits. The branch circuits are originating in the same building.
From an MDP (480V, 3 PH); a 5HP load, powered weir, needs to be fed.
From a 120/208Y panelboard a small building, digester, needs to be fed.
The digester loads are: 2 lights (one inside ? fluorescent with switch and one outside LED wall pack , with photocell), one duplex GFCI outlet and one 208V, 3 Phase unit heater, (2 or 3 Amps).
At the digester there is an old meter socket that has not been used in a long time and is to be abandoned along with the overhead conductors that served the structure.
There is an existing ground rod that is connected to the old meter socket.
The electrical loads and conduit that were in the digester have been unused for years and are to come out along with the existing conduit and conductors.
I want to run 3) #10 THWN with Ground from a breaker the MDP for the weir
AND
3) #10 THWN with Ground from a breaker in the 120/208Y panelboard to the digester
IN 1-1/2? PVC conduit to a hand hole.
From the hand hole:
Route the conductors for the weir thru 1? PVC conduit to a 30A disconnect, then to the weir.
Route the digester conductors from the hand hole to a new 30A NEMA 3R switch (located where the old meter socket was), then to a small 3PH panelboard inside the building/structure.
Do I need to bond the equipment ground that I?ve routed to the remote building to the existing ground rod in the switch or do I keep the equipment ground separate?
Thanks, Monte
