Grounding between service gear

I can’t find it in the code book, but where is it that it requires a minimum number 10 equipment grounding conductor between each side-by-side service cabinet. Inspector is requiring it. I guess the gear crew didn’t do it, so they ran emt between each cabinet to run a #10 cu conductor.

Just an FYI, we are sticklers here on using proper terms as they directly relate to the NEC. In your case that would be panelboard and panelboard enclosure.

I’m not new and I believe an electrical enclosure is a cabinet that “can” house electrical equipment. But, I get ya😁

The number 10 required in 517.14 is actually for equipotential and has very little to do with being an EGC. When asking questions it is a good idea to include pertinent information, in this case Healthcare.
