Hey, all. I'm bidding on a standby-generator and ATS install at a radio-station transmitter building that is directly under the tower. There are several transmitters using this tower, and already two or three other generators.

I can see the obvious, where the other, existing generators, propane tanks, and other metal parts are Cad-weld bonded to what must be a ground ring. Plus, a couple of years ago, we did the groundwork for a new cellular site.

I'd like to know if there are standards I can access explaining the requirements, especially below grade, of what we must do, plus info on distances between the building and the tank, generator, ATS, etc., beyond the NEC.

Danke,

This is for a 5kW FM transmitter, and there were no specs or engineering given to me; only the desire for automatic standby power. They need 40a @ 208/120v, and asked for double that for future use, so I came up with 30kW, but I believe we could get away with 25kW.
