Grounding/Bonding Bushings

I was looking for bonding bushings in the NEC and was having trouble locating them. I don't have much experience with these so I don't even know if I am calling them the right term. I probably haven't used one in 7 years. I need to know the requirements if I need them for upcoming installation designs. Thanks.

I wonder if you're talking about 250-92(B)(4)? :smile:

I would look at 250.90 to start(section 5) and continue from there. Bonding is discussed here, if you own the handbook it has good illustrations.

I agree,

This is the most common requirement for bonding bushings or bonding locknuts.

I just had to use some this morning for a stranger reason. I had some old type AC cables that I had to re-terminate to a new nonmetallic enclosure. Had to spin on a bond bushing to keep the ground continuity from cable to cable.
