Grounding/Bonding of a PEX plastic piping system

I have an inspector that is telling me to bond each fixture in a new construction home. The only metal pipe in the system is at the service entrance to the building. Each fixture is connected to a flex connector direct to an angle stop and 10" copper stubout, then to PEX. I feel the only place to bond the electrical system should be at the service entrance per Section 250.50 of the NEC.

I need an interpretation of the NEC on if it is required to bond fixtures to the electrical system individually when part of a non-metallic plumbing system.

I think your inspector is citing 250.104(A), although in my opinion it is a little over-kill. I personally would not require it, but the code, as far as I can tell, makes no exception for length of exposed piping. It surprises me that 250.104(A) does not state "likely to become energized", like 250.104(B) does.

In reviewing the NEC it specifically states that metalic piping needs to be bonded. I can not find anywhere in the code where it states that a fixture connected to non-mettalic piping must be bonded. Common sense would lead you to believe that when you break a circuit by using non-mettalic pipe that the opportunity for the system to become energized has been eliminated. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I ALSO HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH AN INSPECTOR IN THE SAME SITUATION. ALTHOUGH HE ONLY REQUIRED ME TO BOND ONE OF THE FIXTURES. HE SAID THAT THE MINERALS IN THE WATER WILL BOND THE COPPER FROM POINT A TO B. I DID NOT AGREE AND AFTER I BONDED THE ONE FIXTURE HE WANTED WENT ACROSS THE HOUSE AND TESTED THE THEORY. IT WHOULD NOT EVEN TRIP A GFCI.
