Grounding Bus and Bonding Bus

If we are grounding an electrical distribution system only once, and bonding that system at more than one location and more than one time;
why do the technical literature refer to both Grounding Bus and Bonding Bus and not Bonding Bus only ?

The same buss can be used gor grounding, bonding, or both.
Most of the time when we speak of grounding, we really mean bonding.
Example: I need to pull a #12 ground.
And the NEC has been confusing, and even incorrect on this subject.
