I am working on a project, and the client asked to run the green insulated EGC in an Aluminum conduit. We usually design it in a PVC. is it any code violation?

BTW, if you are referring to the GEC it does not have to be green, if you are talking about an EGC it would be run with it's circuit conductors

There is generally no requirement to use PVC nor any requirement to use AL, or to use an insulated conductor for an EGC.

These are all design decisions most of the time.

With AL there is generally no requirement to run a wire type EGC at all.

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure what your question is.

You run green EGCs just like with PVC, plus bonding boxes.

Thank you for your response
