Grounding Electrode conductor to rod

I'm new, so if this already came across, please excuse me, but I don't think I did it right the first time.
I installed a 400 amp temp. service for a modular building.
There is no building steel, or metal water line, so I used 2 - 5/8" X 8'
ground rods as my grounding electrode.
In following NEC 250.66 (A), I ran #6 bare copper as the grounding electrode conductor.
Is this correct, or should I have used a grounding electrode conductor sized according to table 250.66.
