Grounding for Solvent Handling Systems

I know that solvent handling systems have special requirements for bonding all tanks and pipes that handle the solvent to ground to avoid static electricity build up. However, I never knew what actually required this. I don't think it's in the NEC. Is it in some other publication?

I don't know if there is any special building code rule about this. It might be in a specification somewhere or an ISA type publication.

The thing is that if you are using metal pipe it may well be effectively bonded anyway.
