Grounding Metal Wireways

Why is there no guidance for grounding Metal Wireways in article 376? Am I required to ground the Wireway if fed by nonmetallic raceways with wires passing through without splice? Looking for code references please...

That looks good.

250.86 Other Conductor Enclosures and Raceways. Except
as permitted by 250.112(I), metal enclosures and raceways
for other than service conductors shall be connected
to the equipment grounding conductor.

If the egc is a wire type since the conduit in your case doesnt qualify. That in itself may force the issue of bonding the enclosure.

Thanks...250.86 leaves no question. Seems like there should be a 376.60 in Metal Wireways for guidance on grounding like some of the other raceway articles.

Way too late for a PI (public input, previously knows as a proposal) for the 2017 NEC.

The "first draft" (previously known as the ROP) for the 2017 NEC is out for public comment now.
