can someone let me know if there is an acception to the code on grounding a metallic box or gutter. I have a contractor telling me that if you pull all of your wires straight through the jbox or gutter that you do not need to ground the box and that it is connected by means of the compression connectors. I looked up 366 in gutters and it says "shall be grounded" and in the jbox section i think 314 it says "shall be grounded in accordance with section 250
thanks

He's right, It is grounded, if you are useing metal conduit. This is for a metal box.
I think a gutter would need an additional ground lug. But I'll have to check that.:)
