Good morning, i'm a builder of industrial control panel in USA and Canada market. We works in many sectors of automation.
Typical main control panel with motor in DOL or VFD.
Typical we have terminals (field wiring terminals) on din guide and near a copper grounding bar.
First question: the cable PE of the motor from field can be connected either din guide (terminal rail) and grounding bar (UL 467) ? or only in din guide?
Second question: if the correct connection is the din guide, the other side of terminal must be grounded in grounding bar or is not necessary because the terminal is connect to the din guide that is connect in the plate of the cabinet that is grounded?
Standard UL508A 54.10 is not clear for me, i don't know if NFPA79 or NEC is more clear.
Example of grounding bar (earth busbar)
