We are installing new Surface Condenser and want to know if I have to consider grounding the structure. It’s isolated from the existing building.

Or Can the structure itself will act as ground.
Please suggested there is grounding to be done, pls suggest the calculations and considerations.
Thanks

If the "Surface Condenser" is a piece of equipment then the equipment grounding conductor with the circuit conductors provides the only required "ground" per the NEC definition of a structure:
Structure. That which is built or constructed, other than equipment

Also a structure supplied by a single branch circuit doesn't need a GEC either. Not sure about in Canada though.
