Grounding Siding - Metal Roofs

Unless there is a pool within 5' of the siding and roof then there is and never has been a reason to ground it- afaik

Even if you do do it how do you know that all of the siding or the roof metal is effectively bonded? Ground out a hot at the farthest point from the bond?? It is a silly notion started by some folks who need to get a life.
