Hello everyone! I have a friend who has an old house--no ground wires to the receptacles. And he has an outdoor receptacle that he would to be grounded. There is cold water pipe within a few feet of the receptacle. Would it be code-allowed to run a #12 wire to the cold water pipe and tie it to the single receptacle? He doesn't' want to rewire the whole. Thanks!
