Grounding slab foundations

How do you ground a slab floor?
Are you referring to a Concrete Encased Electrode per 250.52(A)(3)? If so the answer is no if its per this code section. But if you install a ground rod it becomes part of the GES.

Here the slabs are not in contact with the earth, there has to be a vapor barrier between the two, but the slab isn`t bonded.Even the ones that have reinforcing mesh in them.I have wondered about these types before in regards to having a floor box or two installed and there is a steel tub in a bathroom. Both are in contact with the slab and there is a possibility of the slab becoming energized.Since concrete will allow you to get a severe shock when in direct contact with it.Why isn`t the mesh in a slab bonded ??? But a pool is .

My original point was that a slab is not required to be grounded, regardless of whether or not it is in contact with the earth.

Regarding the pool vers slab bonding, the difference is that a pool must have a equipotential bonding grid provided to help lessen voltage gradients that can occur in conductive surfaces. This is required because people will be walking on these surfaces while wet therefore reducing the bodys resistance. This bonding grid is only required to be bonded together and to the pool pump motor, not necessarily to the service equipment ect. as with other exposed structural metal that is required to be bonded according to 250.104(C)
