I was wondering in condominium buildings when three are more than one water pipe coming in the building , should I tie my 3 AWG Ground wire to all of them or just to one and bond the rest with a # 8 wire?

I think you would have to connect to all the water pipes that have 10 feet or more in contact with the earth. And the #3 GEC (grounding electrode conductor) should be connected to all.

However, a few questions -
Why #3? That isn't a size listed in table 250.66.
And why multiple water pipes? Are these multiple supplys, or something else?

Thanks for the respond:.

I hope that it is not suppose to have 10 Electric services also. Are condos

considered seperate buildings ? Each owned outright with a seperate deed,

I wouldn't want all those services on "my" condo. But I don't know.

GEC is size per 250.66. I don't believe a #3 is adequate. What size are your ungrounded conductors. I assume you are paralleling conductors but what size. You need to look at the notes to 250.66 also.
