Grounding type bushings: Wire size?

Lets say that a #3/0 EGC is passing through a pull box and grounding type bushings are used on the feeder conduits, how do we size the wire that goes to the bushings? Would it #3/0 or could it be smaller?

Re: Grounding type bushings: Wire size?

A #3/0 should terminate the bushing. I would note that if the feeder ungrounded conductors pass through the box, the voltage is over 250 volts and no concentric KO's are encountered the bonding bushings aren't required.

Re: Grounding type bushings: Wire size?

If there is only one conduit in and out of the box thats not much of a problem but if there are eight conduits in and out of the box and the box is sized to the minimum allowed by code trying to run #3/0 through all the bushing terminals gets to be quite a problem physically.

Re: Grounding type bushings: Wire size?

Do you need to bond the box at all? What kind of conduit are you using? Are there any concentric KO's? Are you trying to bond the box or the conduits? What is the voltage of the conductors?
