For a self contained hot tub that is rated at 220v/55a (so is going to be hard-wired and is not a 120 volt "plug n' play") that is going to be placed on an 8' x 8' concrete slab with reinforcing rebar throughout, I am unclear on if the slab needs to be either grounded or bonded, and is it just a matter of running an 8' grounding rod into the dirt before the slab is poured and connecting the rebar "frame" to it with #8 solid and an acorn attachment?
