ANSI/ISA?RP12.06.01?1995 (R2002) , If you are doing intrinsically safe installs, its worth buying.

3.13 ...dedicated conductor, isolated from power system, except at one point.

Ground path resistance from farthest barrier to that point is less than 1 ohm.


Used for zener diode type IS barriers. Not required for powered isolator barriers.
