Service disconnects for a building are to be grouped together where six or less are installed.
I am upgrading a service from 200 amp to 400 hundred amp. It is an existing car wash building. There has been an added automatic car wash building attached to the existing building.
Can I reheat the existing 200 amp main breaker panel on the opposite side of the wall from the service and than install a 200 amp disconnect on the outside wall next to the service to feed the new building? They are two seperate buildings but the new one butts to the existing building.
If they were the same building then they should be grouped together. Can I place a perminate sign next to each disconnect explaining the situation?
