Had a dozen Halo HLBs left over from the house (since I bought extras) and needed some under counter lighting. In true engineer fashion, why buy something else when you can modify and “play” with what ya got. I designed and 3D printed a surface mounting kit to allow me to install these under the cabinet. I soldered on some M27500 cable I had laying around and have them all powered from a j-box in the attic. Worked out really well. They actually surprised me since they are so close to the countertop.

And no comments on how my two boxes are different heights. That still makes me mad as heck I didn’t catch that until it was too late. Darned tape measures must be hard to read these days.

Something else that is note-worthy on these Halo lights. They had a batch made during the Covid era that were stamped .... incorrectly...or some word. The issue is when you turn them on and they heat up....they will "ting". The metal housing will 'oil can' and pop. They will do the same thing when they cool down. I talked to the rep at our local elec supply house's customer appreciation lunch a few weeks ago. He said they would warranty all of them but heck, you can just push hard on the back of it and put a little more bend in it. It will stop popping. Just a tid bit of info I thought I'd pass along if anyone has that issue.
