I am looking at an electric hand dryer, Jet Air - Ultraline U1525. The thing has a sticker on it that reads 120V only. It also reads 2200W, 100W fan (included). None of this troubles me, until I read the other sticker that says "20 amp circuit maximum". Anyone run into this before?

Sounds like it is not considered a continuous load.

120V * 20A = 2400 Watts capcaity on the branch circuit, so 2200 watts should be OK if it doesn't run for 3 hours without stopping.

Being a non-continuous load it shouldn't be a problem.
