handle ties on different rated breakers

is it legal to use handle ties on a two pole breaker and a one pole breaker whether the breakers are the same rating or different rating?

Breakers of different amperage may handled tied together ie 20A and 15A.

A DP can be tied to a SP.

Assuming all are same brand etc.
