Hello,

I am a new design engineer and I want to hang a junction box w/ one L5-20 duplex to the ceiling using a 5-20P twist lock. The junction box would then be attached/unattached to a movable piece of furniture (so it is not a permanent connection.) Is there anything else I need to add to it? Like a kellems grip attached to an eyebolt in the ceiling or something?

Got me a little confused on what is fixed and what is portable. Most the time the receptacle would be the fixed item and the 5-20P cord cap would be part of the portable item, but your wording makes it sound the other way around, though it likely is possible.

You might also give this a consideration... Kellems grip designed for plugs

Where are these all that useful? you already have a clamp on the cord, if the cord drop is heavy enough it still needs additional support this still leaves the receptacle supporting all the weight, or worse yet any additional tension beyond weight it gets subjected to.
