I am going to re-wire 9 commercial washers and dryers that are currently set up like in the pic. All conduit and flex in pic is going away and new conduit will be installed.

Sorry! Pic is sideways!

The roof is about 12 feet in height. I'm going to have a similar EMT drop from the beam. I will transition to flex with a EMT-to-flex connector (no hanging j-box!).

Obviously I need to secure/support the conduit at (near) the end of the drop. How would you accomplish that?

My first thought is a section of all-thread and a horizontal piece of strut with a strut strap, but I'm trying to think of a simpler way to do it.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Sorry, my question isn't about the connector (I already have a stock of those ready to use).
I need to figure out a way to support the conduit.
It'll end up being about 6-7 feet of unsupported conduit where it changes to flex.

Thanks!

Thank you for that. I was looking and looking. :?

In no particular order:

A continuous horizontal length of strut, made of maybe (9 x 3' = 27') three lengths joined with strut hardware, supported from the ceiling by all-thread. You could drill the strut side-to-side for the all-thread so you don't need angle hardware.

Make the EMT long enough to reach the lip of the machine if there is one (a suitable lip, that is), and a mineralac strap attached to the beam clamp. Or find a handy existing screw or a carefully-placed self-drilling screw.
