Hardwiring of IT Equipment

Is hardwiring of IT equipment allowed per the NEC? The answer seems to be yes based on the limited research I've done, but looking for NEC articles or clauses that support the answer. thanks.

I'd say yes if that's how the equipment is supposed to be supplied.
 
You are not going to find anything explicit. But the NEC expects us to do what the manufacturer says to do. So if the unit is supplied by the manufacturer with a hard-wired connection, then we are expected to hard wire it. Is someone telling you it is against the code?
