Just bought a new 220/240v electric cooktop that has a black, white, red, and bare ground cable.
My house has only a black, white, bare ground, and is missing the white cable.
The installation instructions say if they house only has 3 cables to join the blacks, join the reds, and join the grounds and white together.
Am I reading this right?
