I have always felt lucky to be born in the worlds best country!

Thank you to all those that risked and those that gave their lives to make it so.

Happy Fourth everyone.

I couldn't agree more. I was in the Air Force from 1963 to 1967 and never went outside the US. I was lucky but a lot were not. I am one of those that still get teary eyed when our National Anthem is sung.

This is a great day! :)

Another point,

Don't use fireworks, even if they are legal where you live. They are dangerous. Last night in my town a man received first and second degree burns to his face beacue of illegal fireworks (nothing is legal in New York, even sparklers are illegal). Your life is just too important to others to risk it on something like that. Leave them to the professionals.

Re: Have a happy 4th. !!!

These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in the crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; 'tis dearness only that gives everything it's value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price on it's goods; and it would be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated. - Thomas Paine

May you all have a wonderful and peaceful Independence Day!
