HD, Ace hardware all gone. Grainger is selling GE on closeout. This is why I was wondering what happened.
I understand my SH has them though. So, it's probably the supply chain issue.

There was the issue a few years ago of T12's being phased out. That issue came and went several times over. This was just before LED's becoming so prevalent. Each time T12's were supposedly gone, they showed up again. 1 rumor was that with each deadline, manufacturers would suddenly meet current standards with T12's. I urged all customers to go with T8's for any new installs, as there was no talk of doing away with them. But T12 are still around now, go figure.

Around here, I think single pin have always been harder to find. I know the HO type, with oval pin sockets were almost always a special order and so were the sockets.. But I sure liked that kind of socket; spring loaded, easy to install tube and tension kept a good connection on it.

Looking for the single pin 8' fluorescent lamps and I see nothing. Have they been discontinued or are they on a boat somewhere?

I think they missed the boat , a shame for people who don`t want to buy new lights , still available but definitely being phased out here in so ca
