Question?

We have 240/120 3 Phase high leg delta system, we are using the HBL 3431 plug and connector , and I do not believe they are listed or approved, and they are non grounding, can they be used for grounding?
are these the proper type to be using on are system?? and if they are not, should the company replace them with the proper ones.??

any and all information we be appreciated, thank you.

The 4th prong is a neutral, and rated 120/208V WYE. I have never figured out what is a proper use for them.

This is what a HBL3431C is........Where in the NEC would I find, this plug is not the proper use on a 240/120 3 Phase high leg delta system?
As you can see this plug is only rated for 208/120.And it is a non grounding type plug. Thank you ,

We had those installed at one facility I worked. An electrician specified them, and of course, used the white terminal for ground. I changed them out to the Nema L15-30 [HBL 2811] series. Three hots and a ground, is also proper for high leg delta, as plug is rated for 250 volts 3 phase.

Do you need a 4 pole 5 wire connector for some reason? That (L21-30) is also rated for 120/208. Of course, the insulation is fine for a 240 volt high leg delta system (Specs say 2000 V!). If concerned, email Hubbell.
