Hello everyone,

Can HDPE conduit be used for MV underground power cables application? I didn't see anywhere in the code that tells me not.

Seems like direct burial is ok. What I don't know is 353.12(2) says it can't be used "within a building". Does that mean that as soon as the conduit passes the grade beam, that it needs to be ended even if it comes in a crawl space?

I think that once it passes into the footprint of the building walls it is "within the building. Unless buried Deep enough or encased in concrete."
