Recently installed a P&S adorne under cabinet system; The grouping of conductors looks like you have one circuit for the lights, and a multi-wire circuit for the receptacles and accessory circuit.

I encountered an issue with my receptacle DF breakers tripping on the track sections with USB accessory chargers. Called my Legrand rep and was sent a clarification white sheet that shows the accessory and lighting circuit are the multi-wire. So now, in my installation, the lights have to be on for the USB chargers to work.

I have been using a circuit for the receptacles and 14/3 for the lighting and accessories. Some contractors are line siding the accessories from the receptacle / ground fault receptacle .I see that could be a code violation.I see that as having lighting outlets on the same circuit as the small appliance circuit.I like the system ,after you get use to the product it's very neat in appearance.A good cabinet detail is crucial.

Yeh, will definitely have to use a 14/3 on future installs; I initially had my accessory circuit tied to the receptacle hot, and it won't work if you're actually using accessories, because it trips the recep GFI. It looks great though. I used the linear LED fixture with this setup and was really impressed.

Legrand rep told me last week they are now offering it in white as well as the aluminum finish.

Very nice.I'm finishing up a similar install. Are you using a wall box behind your connection?I've been able to install romex nm through the ko's .There is limited space ,we try to group the gfci and the lighting dimmer switch in the make up box.I always end up with only one piece of 12/2 and 14/3 wg.This beats the heck out of the old wire mould install.Work like this requires discipline ,something that I've noticed that is lacking from many workers .Your install is a little different from the brand I use.

No wall box; I hit the two knockouts with a 14/2 & 12/2.

I think I'd rather take a hatchet to the head than install wiremold like this !

SABC's are clearly only intended for receptacle outlets serving receptacles mentioned in 210.52(B)(1). 210.52(B)(2) says the SABC's shall serve no other outlets, which would include lighting outlets.

That don't mean you would normally have major issues with an occasional low wattage LED light on the circuit, but still goes against what it currently says.

Yes sir.I can't say I've never tied in an under cabinet task light from a small appliance circuit. However , as long as I can re-call 40 plus years in the field what you say is absolutely true.My dad made the statement several times saying"Just because it works doesn't mean it's right"

We can't hard wire an under cabinet task light to the SABC's, but after the home is completed, the HO can go buy a cord and plug connected task light, hang it under the cabinet and plug it into the SABC receptacles:blink:

Just finished this system for the first time.
Lessons learned.
1. Lighting and Accessories need three conductor cable. Same circuit but lights get switched and accessories do NOT.

2. The wiring harness is deceptive as the lighting is grouped together (red & white with black stripe), an the other grouping APPEARS to be receptacle outlets as part of the SABC (black, white and green) and the Accessory conductor (blue). This makes it appear like the receptacle and the accessory should be connected together. BUT the Accessory (BLUE) conductor needs to be tied into the three wire cable parts of the lighting! or you will have lots of trouble with your AFCI's tripping. I learned the hardway, even after speaking with support before starting the job and taking notes.

3. The cabinets need to be empty for mounting the system. Not a biggie but the customer had to empty the first level out so we could install the system.

4. Next time I'm going to try running AL flex with THHN conductors (2 - 12AWG (black & white), 1 - 12AWG Insulated equipment ground, 3-14AWG (Red, White with stripe if can get it, and Blue) in one raceway as they will fold easier into the small area provided to make connections. It's very tight with solid conductors. I already had put a Jbox where the feed and the switch leg and the lighting loads joined in the basement.

5. Verify layout and measurements before they get the walls and cabinets finished. I had to modify the layout because their measurements and materials in one location was 3/4 past the bottom of the cabinet. We ran and exchanged it for smaller piece but had to relocate our conductors 6" right of the planned location on a finished tile wall, and the customer is short 1 receptacle and 1 accessory port that is a non-issue. Probably layout and mark things up too.

6. Watch the install videos available. May have saved me hours of worry, aggravation and rework.

7. It really wasn't a time saver in my opinion. Probably because this was my first encounter with the product. We'll see next time.

Points 1 & 2 where the same issues I had the first time.

Certainly easier on future installs. The biggest problem for me is the cabinet builders that decide to make changes in the shop after the initial elevations & layout are done.

I like the idea of flex with stranded wire; it is definitely tight.

Here’s a couple pics of how I rough them in now; just a screw gun box bracket and midget straps over NM.
