In my patient care rooms Im to install tape light under the cabinets.
Im going to use the same circuit that feeds the counter top gfci that is on a ats.
If I get a hardwire driver and put it above the cab or ceiling can I run my low voltage free in the wall and come out in the bottom of the cab like it was for a florescent.?

According to 517.80 (2011 NEC), low voltage systems in patient care areas need to be treated similar to branch circuits.

So a free air installation of cable or wire in the wall would not be allowed. But you might be able to fish hospital grade MC cable through the wall.
