I have been handed a set of electrical plans to review for a Veterinary Hospital. As I look at the plans there is an operating room, exam rooms, x-ray room, recovery room, waiting rooms, etc. Without seeing Veterinary, I would normally apply Section 517 when reviewing. BUT, it is a Veterinary Hospital. Should 517 be applied? :?

Just keep in mind that wiring a veterinarian hospital per the rules in Article 517 is not prohibited and would enhance the safety of the electrical system. Animals and vet staff have similar exposures to HCFs and would benefit from and appreciate the additional protections...
