Can health care MC Cable be used on critical branch circuits in the walls of patient area to feed light fixtures and if not why can you use flex?

Can Health care MC cable be use on any emergency or critical branch circuits?

We once did a nursing home that was entirely hospital grade MC (even the home runs) The inspectors passed that first shot. Must have been having a good week.
