Is there a requirement for testing duplex receptacles either on critical or normal power in a healthcare facility (not operating rooms)? Do receptacles in the lab fall under different regulations? And finally, aside from being good practice, is there a requirement for testing ground fault receptacles?

We have been researching these topics and our consensus is that other than at installation, there is no requirement. Are we missing anything?

Thanks for your help.

Have you looked at chapter 4 of NFPA 99, the test criteria for healthcare electrical systems can be found there.

Yes, I have the NFPA 99 handbook and it says "testing is to be performed on all new receptacles in patient care areas".
I'm wondering if there is any code that requires inspection or testing at regular intervals.
We do test our isolated power systems semi-annually
