This is a little off topic but I was wandering about other parts of the country if the electrical contractors install the wire for the hvac people or do they do it for themself on residental services?
I always let them install all their wire and disconects because they pull there permit and if they do anything that is not code they will get red taged!
what do you'all think?

I suppose that will work in areas where there is no licensing but where there is the EC is responsible regardless of who does the work. That is unless the mechanical contractor has an electrical license too but that doesn't happen very often.

A L.V. contractor`s work will also fall under our license and they don`t need a license to operate here

Also forgot to say but all or most all the hvac companys must have a license around here because they install other than new construction,the ahj requires them to pull their own permit the ec can also if he wants,thanks i was just courious
