I have a homeowner that's building an in-ground pool beside their house. Due to lot size the existing heat pump will be 4' horizontally from the inside wall of the pool. My interpretation of 680.26 (a) (5) in the 2005 code is that this is ok as long as it's bonded to the equipotential grid. Am i correct?

Yes, it must be bonded but I believe you mean 680.26(B)(5)
