Heat Trace

What is the typical protocol when putting OCPD for heat trace wiring? I would think this is "deicing" equipment and would not require GFI protection.

GF protection IS required for most heat trace wiring. It is, however, GF protection in the 30 ma range and not GFCI 5 ma protection

Is this an Article 427 installation or Article 426? Heat tracing and deicing are somewhat different.
