I've done a few heat trace jobs over the years, never enough to be an expert by any means. We are now getting a few more calls for it.
When possible, I like to minimize splices, even when it makes cabling more difficult. I find splices a very tedious procedure. Is there a brand of cable that splices are simpler, such as some form of butt splice? Is there any special tool to simplify wrapping pipes?
The 2 brands we have recently worked with are Raychem and Emerson. What are other brands any of you have used?
