Heated Air Curtain

In an industrial factory, does a 480v, 3 phase, 40 amp circuit that supplies a heating air curtain (mounted above roll up doors) need a disconnect, or can the breaker serve as the disconnect? I have been looking for the code article but can not find it.

doesn't that cover electric heat, the 480v is only for the fan motor , heat comes from hot water piping?

You did not tell us that it had an external heat source.

In that case 430 requires a disconnecting means.

true, its just one of those standard air curtain units mounted above roll up door , albeit a large one, with hot water heating pipes going into the UL Listed unit. I said it needs disc..
