I have been given a spec on a Heated Toilet seat
Spec reads

System requirement
120v 15amp 60hz

So I ran a 15 amp Dedicated line.
But below

Says 1800 watts. Does this mean it uses full 1800 watts requiring 20 amp circuit.

who knows what it means. there is so little difference in nhe cost of running a 20 A circuit versus a 15 A circuit that I would be inclined to just run a 20 A circuit.

1800 Watts seems like a lot for a heated toilet seat to me. It does not take a lot of heat to warm up something that small.

I agree I probably should have to just eliminate this question. But I already ran it. 15 amp

The attached file say system circuit size. 120v 15amp. I agree a fully loaded 1800 watt seat probably burn your ass.

Did you view attachment. Just curious if I upload it correct and is viewable

Part of the heat may be used to warm the bidet water.

I assume its controlled by a thermostat, and so 1800 watts would not be pulled for long.

So it could be plugged into a 15 amp receptacle on a 15 amp circuit. But that would have to be the only receptacle on that circuit.

I agree 1800 watts seems like a lot - I'm a little skeptical it will actually pull that much.

Can you imagine a toilet seat WITHOUT a thermostat? Yes, sitting on a cold toilet seat can be a "wake up call" on a cold morning, but NOTHING like burning your bum (or worse)!

So yeah, with a thermostat it would not be a continuous load, so 15A (1800W if it is 120V) would be allowable.

Edit: Yes, it is thermostatically controlled...

Plug it in, turn it on and check for amp draw.l

15A breaker is fine.
