I have a customer that has requested a heat lamp inside the shower. I looked online and haven't found anything that says "rated for inside shower". Is there a solution other than a steamer?
My parents have had one these in their shower for about 50 years so the technology is ancient. Nothing more than a recessed fixture with a BR40 250 watt heat lamp. I'm guessing that these lamps are not rated for wet locations or showers. I think that you need a newer technology maybe a radiant heat panel just outside the shower?
I'm sure you probably already know this but I just wanted to add this to Infinity's post. The heat lamp MAKES YOU FEEL warm while you're under the lamp. The moment you get out of the shower it's cold. If you have the capability to add heat (in some other fashion) to the bathroom I think you'd be better off IMHO.
