In regard to 220.83, central electric space heating would be that which is for the entire dwelling and not an individual space?
When sizing for a potential service upgrade, do you find yourself thinking about all of the different scenarios, or just concern yourself with the immediate need?
You don't have to answer.
If you size a service for a potential future EV circuit on an existing dwelling, but you are not adding new HVAC, according to 220.83 (A) you do not have to count A/C. And not even be concerned with future A/C. Also, just for my sanity, a bathroom heater wouldn't be considered in this calculation, only the fact that if one ever was added, it would certainly, and should only apply to the future expansion (space only)?
The question would you ever consider that someone at anytime might decide to add ceiling heat to a bathroom, times 2? We should allow for future expansion, but what does that mean?
Ive seen plenty of plenty of fresh panels full of tandems. Doesn't make sense to me.
