height of overhead cable trays

Is there a NEC (or other) requirement on the height of overhead cable trays? Indoors? Outdoors? I was having a discussion about this with a customer this morning, and I am not convinced I like where he plans to put some trays. I like to see them up out of the way, but he wants them a little lower than I do.

No restrictions on cable tray hght.
I have installed cable tray one ft off the floor before. control and data.
Only restrictions may apply to what is in them.

Also depends of whether the owner wants a head bonk.
