I used a clamp ammeter and revved up my A/C as hard as I could. I got a reading of about 12.5 amps max on each hot wire for a total of 25 amps. I wasn't sure if to calculate wattage you multiply the 25 amps by 110 or 220. Any help would be much appreciated. The point of this is to see if my generator could handle it. It is 8,500 watts running, 11,500 starting watts. And if there is any other information I should be providing, please let me know. Thanks!
